Justin Walts, Dylan Irish, Ryan Irish, Steve Rockwood, Justin Dube, take down feature wins. Kicking off the afternoon was the ten kart field of the Junior karts. When the green flag flew it was Anna Coons. Once in the lead, Coons started to walk away from the field. Making his presence known though was Justin Walts. Walts wasted no tome though catching up to Coons. Also looking to do battle upfront was Josh Wood and Eliot Daley. But Coons and Walts were distancing themselves from the field. When all said and done it was Walts taking down the win. Rounding out the top five was Coons, Wood, Daley, and Kara Franqueza. Next out was the Novice karts. Taking command of the field at the drop of the green was Dylan Irish. Making his way up to the front of the field was Randy Higginson. Irish though, was doing all that he could to keep Higginson behind him. Also trying to make noise in the back of the pack was Ed Adametz IV. When the checkers flew it was Irish going to victory lane. Rounding out the field was Higginson, Adametz and Corey Lemelin. In the Turquoise, it was Ryan Irish jumping into the lead. As Irish lead, the rest of the field battled constantly for position. Irish though didn’t have it easy up front. Staying right on his tail was point’s leader, Kyle Smith. Irish was able to maintain a solid line and hold off Smith. But that didn’t stop Smith from trying. When the checkers came out it was Irish taking down the win. Rounding out the top five was Smith, Alex Blanco, Katie Lafreniere, and Katie Brice. Next was the Lite competition karts. Leading at the green was Steve Rockwood. As Rockwood took the lead, he left the rest of the field to battle amongst themselves. Looking to put some pressure on the leader was William Coons. But Coons wasn’t able to keep up with Rockwood. Making his way to the front of the field quietly was Jake Sapowsky. When all said and done it was Rockwood taking down the win. Rounding out the top five was Sapowsky, Dylan Campbell, Josh Dexter and Coons. In the Heavies it was Jake Sapowsky taking an early lead. Right behind him though was Justin Dube. But it didn’t take to long before the field spread out around the eighth mile track. As the race went on though, Sapowsky hugged the burm a little too much and spun out. That left Dube in the top spot. Once in the lead, Dube started to walk away from the field. That left the field battling hard for the remainder of the positions. When the checkers flew it was Dube taking down the win. Rounding out the top five was William Tack, Tim Gallant, Sapowsky and Todd Perry. Rounding out the afternoon was the 2-Stroke karts. Rejoining Ernie Whidden and Roger Angers Jr. was Don Wood. Taking the lead at the drop of the green was Wood. But due to a problem, he was forced to give up the lead. And shortly after Wood had his problem, Angers had to leave the track. Wood though was able to regain command over Whidden. When the checkers flew it was Wood visiting victory lane. Rounding out the field |
