Iron Man Challenge Rescheduled

WESTFIELD,MA  As Hard Hearted Hanna vamped her way up the Eastern Seaboard, Whip City Speedway cancelled the racing program for Saturday September 6.
The Shorttrack Magazine Iron Man Challenge for Quad 4 Midgets and NEMA Lites has been rescheduled for September 27.  That night will also feature a visit and exhibition race by the Atlantic Coast Old Timers, whose members own antique and classic Midgets, Sprint Cars and Big Cars.

As the racing season draws to a close, Whip City Speedway has scheduled a number of special events to go out with a bang.

September 13- Janet Wood Memorial. Racing in all weekly divisions with double points for the 1200cc and 750cc Mini Sprints. .

September 20- East Coast Mini Sprint Association Fall Final- extra distance, extra purse, time trials, heats and features for the 750cc Mini Sprints.  In the 1200cc Mini Sprits, K&S Powersports, Haskell Motorsports and Mike Emhof Motorsports present a 25 lap feature paying $1,500 to win from a total purse of $6,000.  The Quad 4 Midgets will race as will the4 Cyl Street Stocks and the 250 Youth Sprints.   Two-Seater Sprint Car Rides will be available to the general public. Rain date is October 13.

September 27- The Shorttrack Magazine Iron Man Challenge for Quad 4 Midgets and NEMA Lites.  Atlantic Coast Old Timers. Racing in all weekly divisions, double points for 750 Sportsman.

October 4- Racing in all weekly divisions and  4 Cyl Street Stocks.  Two Seater Sprint Car Rides available to the general public.

Whip City Speedway offers two complete shows for one low admission every Saturday.  Competition Karts, 250cc and Youth Mini Sprints make up the afternoon program which gets underway at 12:30 pm.  Four Cylinder Street Stocks are added every other week.

The evening program starts with hot laps at about 4:30 pm and consists of heats and features for Modified Lites, Quad 4 Midgets and Mini Sprints in the following classes: 270cc, 600cc, 750cc, 750 Sportsman and 1200cc.  Adult tickets are just $12 while kids 10 years and younger are regularly just $3.  Parking is always free and Whip City Speedway is located 30 minutes fromHartford, 60 minutes fromAlbany, 90 minutes fromBoston and just a hop, skip and a Mini Sprint flip from both I-91 and The Mass Pike.  Check out our website at www.whipcityspeedway.com.
